In what alternate reality does someone have a test results by the time they've done their shopping? This example will cost a fortune. Sarah Jacques @drspanielpaws.bsky.social · 05/12/2024Currently General Practice only gets 6% of the NHS budget but does 90% of the work (only 5% of all drs & nurses are in GP). The GP contract is worth £620million less than it was 5 yrs ago. We are asking for an 11%uplift to bring us back to the level of funding we had 5yrs ago. 010
Sarah Jacques @drspanielpaws.bsky.social · 05/12/2024Invest in General Practice. Currently funding is 30p/pt/day! Invest just over £3 per month per head to achieve a return to real terms funding, last seen in 2015. GPs will do the rest. This is just the price of a cup of coffee. Support the partnership model which is the most efficient part of the NHS 110
Sarah Jacques @drspanielpaws.bsky.social · 04/12/2024There needs to be more of a sense of urgency from the government. We've already lost 1000 GP practices. If we lose more, the NHS collapses. 2154
