Marigold 💠🌸✿🌸💠 (palette princess) @fraumarigold.bsky.social · 08/03/2025

The knight and the princess yuri has arrived. This one goes out to all the sword lesbians and fabric freaks.

illustration styled as a 1800s painting. In a dimply lit bedroom, a princess and a knight sit on the floor intertwined in a sensual pose. the knight holds their sword upright for the princess to straddle and grind against. the princess has an ecstatic expression on her face as the blade draws blood on her neck. the knights expression is more conflicted.

Tales of Arcturus 👓 @ottolinearcturus.bsky.social · 25/04/2026

So apparently there are some debates whether the aesthetics introduced in Evercold's art are Norse or Celtic, and while it could just as well easily be both, one of the concept buildings is an outright Stave Church, one of the most iconic (and some still-surviving!) examples of Norse architecture.

Concept art from the keynote stream. A multi-tiered building with raised roofs and spires.

A photo of the Borgund Stave Church in Bergen, taken in 2005. The church was constructed in the 1200's, and is one of the best surviving examples of Norse architecture. Around 28 stave churches still survive in Norway to this day. Not the triangular, triple-nave style similar to the concept art, as well as the serpent-like motifs on the roof, also present in the concept art building.

Lom Stave Church in Lom, Norway, constructed around 1158. Shares many similar motifs.

Heddal Stave Church, located in the village of Heddal, Norway. Constructed in the 1200's.

FINAL FANTASY XIV @en.finalfantasyxiv.com · 24/04/2026

The Evercold main scenario will be set on one of the reflections - the Fourth.

A massive white stone structure rises out of a cloudy landscape. Part of this huge building has been constructed to resemble a blue-eyed serpentine form, embellished with gold. In the foreground is another smaller wood and stone building surrounded by more serpentine figures.

A dusky airship port constructed with multiple levels. Crenellated walls and squat towers are built into the rocky cliffs. An aetheryte and various buildings with green roofs are dispersed around the port.

An aetheryte glows brightly on cobblestone street running along a sheer cliff side. The bottom of the cliff is obscured by fog. Stone brick buildings are built into the walls. Windows are lit with dim golden light. A few cranes enabling travel between different street levels are visible.

A mass of cylindrical buildings with ornate and decorative architecture ascend in different levels of height around a larger structure obscured partially by cloud. Bridge-like structures extend from this massive building. Many of the buildings are illuminated by light from blue crystalline forms of various shape and size.

Part 3 in my king/knight series, this one titled "Ministrations" 😁 👑❤️⚔️

The partially disrobed king kneels before his knight; he is helping remove the knight’s armor, with his head resting against the knight’s thigh as he carefully unbuckles the leg armor. His hair is loose and tousled and he is smiling. The image is cropped at the knight’s waist, but we can see that the knight is shirtless and that most of his armor had already been removed. The knight and reaches a hand down through the top of the king’s crown to run his hands through the king’s hair while simultaneously beginning to slide the crown from the king’s lowered head.
