You don't have to answer the door for the Feds. Do not voluntarily talk to the Feds. If they have a warrant signed by an actual judge, then they can do precisely what the warrant says. But DO NOT TALK TO THE FEDS. Do not answer the door. If you're arrested, your only words are "I want a lawyer."

New paper in Nature. The more a government controls its domestic media, the more it dominates AI training data, the more pro-regime outputs we get from AI. By scraping the open web, LLMs are unwittingly laundering state-coordinated narratives into seemingly objective answers.

Today, let's think about where we get our beliefs in the right of private citizens to own property, including especially assets, which are the foundation of Capitalism.

Tell Congress: Fund ME/CFS Research Now
This year, Congress has the opportunity to change the trajectory of medical research for the ~9 million people in the US living with with ME/CFS. The FY26 appropriations bill took an important first step by continuing to fund the CDC's Chronic Fatigue Sydrome Program, and keeping ME/CFS as an eligible topic area in the Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program. It also directed NIH to develop an implementation plan for the ME/CFS Research Roadmap — a comprehensive, expert-developed framework for advancing biomarker research, diagnostics, and clinical trials. NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya has publicly affirmed that ME/CFS is real and that a new approach is needed. There is real, bipartisan support for making a change. FY27 is the moment to match that recognition with real resources.

Thank you! At an event last night I said "If the word hope doesn't work for you try, 'Never fucking surrender.'" The word hope seems too sunny to a lot of people, but the heart of it as I'm interested in it is: we make the future in the present, if we show up, and that never surrender part.

It's hard to do this easily in the current tech landscape, but the Visible app only stores data on your device unless you opt in to clinical trials, is customisable for various conditions but is built for ME/CFS and LC needs -- has been invaluable for me in many ways over the past few years.

There's this myth that non-voters are just as aware of and engaged with current events as voters are and that they just haven't found the candidate that inspires them and no, that's not true at all, it's usually that they don't know anything about politics at all, which is the entire challenge.
