If these numbers are accurate, why is my phone blowing up with texts asking for money because democratic candidates are running slightly behind? Then when vote tallies get manipulated by a few votes in a few precincts and MAGA wins, it seems rational rather than stolen.

At 7, I woke up in the middle of surgery and remember about three minutes of excruciation. At 10, I broke my femur and was transported over bumpy roads 2 1/2 hours without meds. You tell me what pain score my 50 year old becoming septic knee is because I have no idea.

I’ve spent my whole career believing in judicious use of antibiotics. So I do an extensive work up of a patient and send them to ID for confirmation. They agree no antibiotics are needed but prescribe Cipro and a Z-Pak because the patient’s mother really wants them? I give up. #MedSky

That explains why my winters have changed so drastically in the past two years. I haven’t stood by a baby with crackling, wheezing lungs who is slightly gray and using every muscle in their body to get air in and out asking how long till the ambulance gets here for two RSV seasons.

For some people, there is a date during the year when we stop paying Social Security taxes because we have reached the ‘cap.’ I learned this in my first high paying job when they weren’t deducted in December. Low pay = full year of tax. High pay = less than a full year. This isn’t fair.
