Another amazing hidden gem of a car museum, this time in Denmark. Egeskov castle has multiple museums (and a castle) on the grounds. The real treasure is the attic of the motorcycle museum, full of old cars, car parts, and just random stuff. So many fascinating things to discover!

Highly recommend the Automuseum Prototyp in Hamburg if you’re in the area. Lots of cool early German prototypes, race cars, and memorabilia in a restored harbor building.

Spotted this lovely Citroën Cactus overlander in Hamburg today. With steel wheels it would be perfect.

@smithandsniff.bsky.social I’m sure you’ve already had countless responses on this, but Pininfarina also designed the Daewoo Tacuma, which is very much in the Matrix vibe of the early 2000s. I was an intern at I.De.A Institute in the late 90s and Korean cars filled the Italian studios at that time.

On Tuesday I bought my new car. Today I received the registration card from the RDW (government office) in the post. It’s a printed plastic card with vehicle details, my info, security holograms and everything. In a single day. Sometimes Dutch efficiency still catches me off guard.

Question for the Brits in the audience: is the cellular network in London as poor as I experienced it this week, or is there maybe a roaming problem at play? I had 5G for about 6 minutes over the past 3 days in the UK and often coverage at all. 10 minutes in rural France already massively better.

In case you were curious how things look in Northern Europe. I filled up the tank yesterday at a “cheap” gast station outside the major cities and this was the result. Total converts to $132 and that comes to $10.32/gallon. Down the street it was close to $11,50/g.
