So, like, a shittier, less reliable, less usable version of a KUKA robot? Great stuff. Truly changing the course of humanity.

The thing about sleep for me is that they could have a real winner on their hands, but they're doing so many insane options with their contract manufacturer that the margins are going to be razor thin at best.

Server parts were technically able to have an imbalance depending on the OPN you ordered. You could also obviously do custom orders from AMD if you needed high quantities of something pretty specific.

If you post survey data, news articles, etc. without a link back to the source whenever possible, you are weakening the informational chain of custody and making it harder for other people to confirm that they're seeing accurate information. This holds even if you're mad at whatever it is.

I'm not excusing anyone's part in any of this. Nobody's taking away their agency here. I'm saying that regardless of what selfish, short sighted, foolish policies got us here, we're still here and it still is a moral failing of our entire society.

This is framed as a feel-good story, but it should scare the wits out of anybody on the road. Tesla's deceptive marketing is convincing seniors that the cars drive themselves. In reality, a human must always be ready to intervene. If someone lacks the ability to do that, they shouldn't be driving!

Forget rideshare. How seniors are using Teslas for transportation
As Waymo and Tesla robotaxi services promise more rides for more cities, seniors are taking matters into their own hands and self-driving Teslas.

Whether we sympathize or empathize doesn't change the reality of what we're facing. Increasingly elderly people driving increasingly more complex and fast vehicles with increasingly disastrous results. The concept of planting a tree whose shade you'll never know is completely absent here.

Putting the absolute lies about Tesla's capabilities aside, this is a story of how American infrastructure has failed the elderly, disabled, and infirmed. A good society would be ashamed of how we treat those people, But this is just the baseline expectation here.

Literally from the screenshot you included it talked about -55 f. The amount of cherry picking going on here is absurd. Your own citation makes you look like a fool, And yeah if you're looking to Gemini for factual information that pretty much puts the nail in the coffin.

Rapid Scaling Turns into AV Achilles’ Heel
AV operations aren't scaling because their vehicles have gotten safer. In contrast, scaling is exposing AVs' weaknesses, as evidenced by each recall involving software updates that proved ineffective.

Citing -55 f is such a stupid thing because it's not mixed conditions. It's beyond extremely rare, like once a decade if not less. And to attempt to die on this hill by not setting a source proves you knew it was a stupid argument.

Dr. Dabbles @drdabbles.bsky.social · 21/07/2026
Again, making up bullshit And using carefully crafted nonsense arguments To attempt to make a true point does a massive disservice. Electric vehicles are much more energy efficient. Just say that and leave the lies at home.

Dr. Dabbles @drdabbles.bsky.social · 21/07/2026
Mixed conditions? Guy, I live where it gets that cold in the winter. The number of caveats to this required to even be close To the number you cited is ridiculous. And you have conveniently left out the energy efficiency that my EV sees while heating the cabin for very short trips.

Dr. Dabbles @drdabbles.bsky.social · 21/07/2026
