A5 - ensuring that meaning is not conveyed by colour for students who are colour-blind. I hadn’t considered this until I had a student in school who couldn’t differentiate between certain colours and I used colour to denote specific verb conjugations #LTHEchat

A2 - when I taught languages, I used to verbalise my thought process when formulating a sentence e.g., “OK I have used a personal pronoun in the 3rd person singular…I now need to conjugate my verb…” - verbalising really supports students from my own experience #LTHEchat

“Care doesn’t have a KPI” is powerful. Perhaps the problem is that we measure what is easy to count rather than what truly matters. Care, kindness and compassion may be harder to quantify, but their impact can be seen in whether people thrive, stay and belong. #LTHEchat

A3 - something as simple as learning students’ names. In a recent workshop, I heard colleagues mention numerous times that they don’t know (and can’t learn) all students’ names in large teaching groups. I argue that you can learn many names if you try. #LTHEchat
