Love this focus of Credit Unions. Digital when wanted, human when needed. loughcu.ie/credit-union... Credit unions are member-owned, non-profit financial cooperatives. A 2018 study with older adults showed the move towards digital banking had disempowered those hesitant in the use of digital tools.
While many banks are making the decision to move further away from physical services and towards digital exclusively including in-branch, (and closing off one whole list of advantages in the process) Credit Unions like us remain open and fully manned with friendly staff who are ready to answer queries and assist when needed.

Had interesting discussion at EuroSoTL on identities in Higher Ed. While I run a teaching and learning centre, I don’t identify as an educational/ academic / faculty developer. I’m reminded of Stephen Fry saying ‘we are not nouns, we are verbs’. #EduSky @issotl.bsky.social @anda19.bsky.social
We are not bound, we are verbs. I am not a thing - an actor, a writer - I am a person who does things - I wrote, I act - and I never know what I’m going to do next. I think you can be imprisoned if you think of yourself as a noun.
