Monoclonal antibodies in #Alzheimers clear amyloid plaques and increase Aβ42. High Aβ42 levels improve cognition. Removing amyloid comes with risks: brain edema ('ARIA') and faster brain atrophy. The trade-off is not worth it. A nice summary @psypost.bsky.social www.psypost.org/neuroscienti...
