The last Mononoke movie came out & ofc I watched and loved it, especially the EPIC ending (got me to tear up ngl)! Inspired me to check out the anime again and I'm just now realising the design differences of the medicine seller in the anime and the movies.

I had a conversation w a Lyft driver a few weeks ago that I still think about. I hope this musician, eager to share her art, finds her way to teaching. While the conversation started rocky, Im glad she got an opportunity to talk about her ambitions. Piano teachers are way more valuable than A.I.

I hate talking about AI every day but I recognize the active danger it represents to nature and the human inspiration that has made my life worthwhile. I cannot overlook the end goal the obscenely wealthy have always had for this tech: to squeeze the rest of us even further out of a modest living.

Just because your brain says you're a bad artist doesn't mean you are. Brains are tricky and like to talk us out of doing important things when it feels scared, tired, or frustrated. Next time your brain tries to make you doubt your effort, ask yourself: What am I actually feeling?

Just gonna rant for a while: Recently got my package from PenBBS & was disappointed that they prob used genAI for an "illustration" for one of the pens I got and prob for the sculpt that is on the pen cap... Sigh smh I guess I shouldn't be surprised but to think I thought they were better than that

nero's guide is awesome, and concretely helped me with making a website as somebody who doesn't have the brain for this stuff 👍 if you're an artist of any sort, making a website for yourself is one of those things that hugely pays off the extended effort time and again
