What always annoys me about this kind of rose-tinted glasses belief, is that it also plays into a huge problem fandoms have of ignoring missing stairs and it's partially why the 5 Geek Social Fallacies has been around for over 20 years. plausiblydeniable.com/five-geek-so...

the amount of pressure needed to write (ie very little) has greatly eased hand soreness over long writing periods for me. and boy do I ever write for long periods dont get me started on inks..... they are very dangerous. haha! pilots own line of inks are some of my favourites though. very reliable

everyone wants to tell artists what to do and i wish we could shift to telling audiences what to do sometimes. if you liked webcomics that were on tapas, follow somewhere else. learn to use RSS. don't let the seamlessness of apps turn your brain into soup. you can change your habits

My really popular barebones RSS comic from November 2022! I hope it helps you stay updated with your favourite webcomics, artists and websites. I’m just a simple guy who’s passionate about RSS feeds, comics and staying updated using both. Go forth and make the feed of your dreams! #Art #Comic #RSS

Comic page giving a mini tutorial on what an RSS feed is. Panel 1: You might've seen this icon before. It's the RSS icon. But what is RSS? RSS is an update feed for a website. Every time the site publishes a post, article, comic page, etc. the feed is updated. Most websites have a RSS feed. Panel 2: You'll usually find it in a site's menu. It might also be on a sidebar or the footer. Panel 3: But if I click on it it's just a bunch of code! What gives? What am I supposed to do with it?! Panel 4: This is where you'll need a feed reader like feedly!

Comic page giving a mini tutorial on what an RSS feed is. Panel 1: One, on Feedly click the follow button. Two, copy the URL from the site's RSS button and add it to the search box. Panel 2: Three, this will bring up the feed for the site. Four, Add it by clicking the follow button. You can also search the name of the site without the RSS link but it's more accurate if you have the link. Panel 3: Add the new feed to a folder. Panel 4: Now the feed will appear on your Feedly when it updates! Panel 5: What I did was get the Feedly add-on for my browser. So every time a site I follow updates the extension lets me know! Panel 6: Clicking the title of the update opens the site in a new tab. I personally like seeing content on it's own site. But you can set everything up so you only ever need to open Feedly.

Comic page giving a mini tutorial on what an RSS feed is. Panel 1:If you run a site make sure your RSS button is easily accessible. The URL will usually be something like yoursite.com/feed or yoursite.com/rss. Panel 2: Be sure to follow your own RSS feeds to make sure they're updating properly. This way if it goes down for whatever reason you'll be able to catch the problem before your readers miss too many updates. Panel 3: And that's all there is to it! It's very customizable so play around with it to see what works for you! Panel 4: No fuss. No algorithms. Just the updates you choose to see! Hey! My favourite comic updated!

I am greatly fatigued by the "junk fanmerch" trend, which also, somehow, plagues local craft shows too. there's only so much space for unrecycleable plastic trinkets in my life. I see why the culture has resulted in this though. lots of factors. thanks capitalism

Dojima alongside Nani is deeply inspired even before getting into everything else going on here

I made one thread in here and I've already had to block like three spambots. it's not going well here, is it?

that's all the major stuff I think. read my fanfictions. it's fun it's easy and it's free. ok see you all next month(?)

still reading, of course. some recent highlights were a trade of blood by Robert Jackson Bennett, Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman, and I'm working my way through Jeff Vandermeer's Southern Reach series now, which has its hooks in me in a huge way

I actually painted a notebook cover for it. I don't share my art often but it turned out okay so...

midori MD notebook cover painted with the personas sukuna-hikona (naoto shirogane) and take-mikazuchi (kanji tatsumi) from persona 4

I'm still writing fanfic, slowly but steadily. main focus remains my persona 4 kannao fanfic from the alternating povs of kanji and naoto. next chapter is going to be a big one, for the people who are interested in that. archiveofourown.org/users/drak0nis

Scotiabank arena in Toronto! nearly 16k people! I never thought I'd get the chance after I missed out on R40 but it was absolutely incredible. those old boys can still shred and Anika nilles is one beast of a drummer

I did all the right things to prepare for Rush, walked in there a good thirty years below the average attendee age, and still came out of it feeling like I was hit by a bus. worth it, but oof. oof.
