current drama in the family group chat is my mothers announcement that the dog found a rabbit nest in the backyard complete with pictures I won't post here because they will probably upset some people here is my dog. she is a terrier mix. you can draw your own conclusions.

surprisingly entertaining books. I feel like that roger ebert review of the mummy when I talk about them. I don't think they're very good. they're not especially well written. but damn if they aren't an entertaining way to pass an afternoon

There is within me an unslaked hunger for preposterous adventure movies. I resist the bad ones, but when a “Congo” or an “Anaconda” comes along, my heart leaps up and I cave in. “The Mummy” is a movie like that. There is hardly a thing I can say in its favor, except that I was cheered by nearly every minute of it. I cannot argue for the script, the direction, the acting or even the mummy, but I can say that I was not bored and sometimes I was unreasonably pleased. There is a little immaturity stuck away in the crannies of even the most judicious of us, and we should treasure it.

kinda hard to see from the lodestone picture but one of my fav new discoveries is that the tattoo on the arm of this shirt is independently dyeable now so I can make it almost perfectly match my girls face paint

colorverse makes great inks but also some that suck ass, like red horizon from the 2024 calendar, which never dries and smears if you simply look at it
