His mind kept sticking on the ship. Wood interiors, plant life growing everywhere, and yet the aliens looked fairly standard mammalian, not like a species that needed that level of surrounding plant life to survive. So was it a specialty ship? Or had he accidentally stowed away on the ship of some very wealthy eccentrics?
He tipped his head back against the wall, entirely too aware of the texture of woody vines and growing leaves. Swearing softly, Aiden brought his hands up to cover his eyes, but it didn't actually help that much; it blocked the golden glare of the lights, but there was still something streaking across the blackness behind his eyelids and if he tried to focus on it for too long it made him feel nauseous from the motion. Coupled with the sharp tang of the taste in his mouth that the water hadn't washed away and he was left feeling as though he had already been sick and could be again at any moment if he wasn't careful.

I have stumbled across it multiple times, and several people I know and respect have personally thanked me for the message. Trouble is, both my image and my quote are Al-generated, built from patterns of photographs that do exist and from very similar words I've actually said and written elsewhere. In truth, I agree heartily with Al Naomi. But it's still not me, and the fact that even I was fooled at first and searched to make sure I hadn't said those exact words (while sort of wishing I had) makes me feel the opposite of calm. (Also: what the hell is it with me and doppelgangers?)
