“Yes, yes, I know,” Stede waved a hand. God, the lack of imagination from these people. He had to do everything himself. “But that doesn’t mean you can’t give it some oomph! Some - some pizzazz!!” He snapped his fingers, struck by a wave of brilliance. “We need a dance number.”
“But he can’t dance!” the Swede whined. “He’s in a wheelchair, and –”
“That’s why the dance is a dream sequence, you see? His aching heart is dancing a ballad - no - a rock anthem - no - a disco of distress!” Stede beamed around at the crew, ready to go with a bow of humility and modesty for when they all burst into applause for his genius, for saving their little movie.
No applause was forthcoming.
“If - uh - if that’s what you want,” the Swede said timidly.

In this period of intense writer’s block im glad my brain is just playing me edstede movies while i am unconscious

Ok so bc it was a dream it was all a bit twisted up. But basically edstede had an arranged marriage and ed was the ceo of a company And edstede had a rocky start and didnt really talk much but stede worked in the company as an accountant and ed realised that stede had some good ideas so they started off talking about business and then slowly became somewhat friends
And then at some point stede realised some huge financial discrepancies or whatever. I forgot what it was. But it wouldve been disastrous for the company
But before he could tell ed about it izzy gets to him and beats him up and threatens him and ed and makes stede leave
And then shortly after the company crashes and ed loses everything and he thinks stede left him bc he saw this coming and didnt wanna stay with ed when hes broke And then they meet like 20 years later
Ed's back on his feet by now but stede isnt really like he's ok. Somewhat
And then the dream got all murky but ed finds out for the first time the truth of what really happened and that stede didnt intend to leave ed but izzy and he badmintons forced him to

I still havent seen someone draw stede as that sabrina album cover so took upon the call myself. Also thats definitely stede’s leash swung over ed’s shoulder and certainly not an arm that i accidentally drew in the wrong spot

“Ed is a trained professional!” Lucius yelled. “Ed had a million people on standby to make sure his multi-million dollar ass is fine! I had to drag you in here myself when you passed out from the smoke! Ask me how many nurses have come to check on you!”
“Those million people weren’t doing anything! Someone had to –”
“And someone would have! Because you’re not someone, Stede! These people don’t give a flying rat’s arse of a fuck about you, if something serious had happened –”
“That’s fine! If something had happened, better me than him! Now, I’m very touched at your concern, Lucius, and don’t think this is me taking you for granted because that’s not it at all. But just, objectively speaking, Ed’s life is worth more than mine! And that’s – that’s good! That’s how it should be! And I’d jump into fire a thousand times for him, in a heartbeat, thank you, and – what the fuck are you doing?”
Halfway through Stede’s impassioned spiel, Lucius had started pulling very odd and strange faces and gestures, quite rudely, in Stede’s opinion. To first yell at a man and then start acting the clown halfway through a heartfelt rant! The gall! The –
Lucius grabbed him and spun him round, and Stede found himself staring once more at –

Stede was spiralling through time again, but this time with a glowing chorus of violins; the rush of an evening wind in his hair, the heady cologne of the biggest movie star in the world filling his senses, big brown eyes twinkling at him as deft fingers untangled his scarf from a jacket –
