I have been struggling to process my thoughts on all this and couldn't really sum it up better than this. It's deeply sad. I looked up to Jacob as he presented himself, I contributed a foreword to one of the pieces in his book of scripts, I had him as a guest on the fundraising stream I did.

I did not know Geller personally but was one degree separate from him, seeming to be a rare "guy who is actually on the level". This is how bold and comfortable a man can be in our society. He can be a beloved YouTuber with his face and full name, knowing what he's done. Disgusted and gutted.

Are they threatening trans users directly?
No. Trans folks in the US have been targeted repeatedly. That's awful and you have my sympathy.
Within the context of a single post we wouldn't consider it a direct threat or targeting a protected category. le send trans folks to concentration camps.
