Can someone please explain how the new logo of @acs.org is related to chemistry? Maybe it does represent the globe and science across borders, but in my opinion it no longer represents chemistry

The new web interface of @acs.org publications is agonizing. TOCs missing from ASAPs/misplaced in issues, terrible URLs, and reading that’s now painful on both mobile and desktop. If page views and readership matter to ACS, this is an emergency. I hope ACS leadership is listening.

[4/4] Before that, Valentine Ananikov taught me how to ask a rigorous mechanistic question, and Valery Fokin showed me how far curiosity can carry you once you get an unexpected result. So many more of you helped too, thank you all!

[3/4] None of this happens alone. Deeply grateful to @hoseanelson.bsky.social, who took a chance on me at Caltech and gave me freedom to chase "crazy" ideas. And to Jose Rodriguez whose door and mind have always been open, shaping how I think about structure elucidation.

[2/4] The Eremin Research Group will sit at the intersection of electron crystallography, mass spectrometry, automation, and AI, turning microED/3DED into a quantitative, self-driving science that reveals atomic-scale heterogeneity in crystals, grain by grain. Stay tuned!

@dmeremin.bsky.social Absolutely crushed it with this automated workflow! It ain’t about the size of your crystals, nor the way that they look, that matters…it’s all about how they diffract! Cheers to the whole team!
