After a bit of a hiatus to do some Marathon vids I am excited to get back to Destiny 2 stuff. Still trying to work out how to do Shattered Suns - if any Destiny Art mutuals have any Rhulk or pose reference material that might work for any of the scenes in that lore book please hit me up!

Blender render of Rhulk after he murders his father - his father is impaled on a Glaive and Rhulk holds his father's severed head aloft.

Had a bunch of comments on my Classic Marathon video complaining about the new game not being something they want to play because of the genre. We've known that its an extraction shooter for 2 years now, but more fool me for thinking people uninterested in that would have moved on with their lives.

Quote from Arrowhead studios: "A game for everyone is a game for no one" and a soyjak agrees "So True!"

Quote from Bungie "This game is not for everyone." And a crying angry soyjak reacts.

Your father told you as a child to always fight with honor, but to always fight. Do you care about honor, or do you use honor as an excuse? An excuse to exist in a violent world... How can you expect yourself to give up violence? It is your nature. Do you feel free?" - Durandal #marathonthegame

"Strive for your next breath. Believe that with it you can do more than with the last one. Use your breath to power your capacities: capacity to kill, to maim, to destroy.... Your human mentality screams for vengeance and thrives on the violence that you say you can hardly endure...

The Marathon ARG reminded me to finish this video I started making last year so I grinded out my first playthrough over the weekend. It's processing now and I'll likely push it live tomorrow evening - the game holds up really well and credit especially goes to everyone involved with Aleph One.

A YouTube thumbnail image for a video - the title 'Marathon - The Movie' is red and bold and on the right side is concept art of the title character of the first game, the Security Officer, as drawn by Craig Mullins who is shown with his signature round helmet and a grenade launcher.

Haven't seen it posted here yet but 'The First | Final Worm' by Storm for the Sword Logic Zine nails the Books of Sorrow style writing that makes the Hive so good. sword-logic-zine.itch.io/swordlogiczine #Destiny2 #swordlogiczine

I think 'Dinotopia' was this for me when I was 10.

Artwork from 'Dinotopia: A Land Apart From Time' depicting a fictional lost civilisation where humans and dinosaurs live side by side - this scene shows a parade of dinosaurs progresing through a plaza.

It'll get a little frame eventually :) Bonus: the Witness iconography as the trail for the Needle ship again whilst looking awesome just elevates it thematically for me - the link to the concept of the Deep and the Witness/Rhulk' designs for the Hive, it's so clever!

Happy birthday! The Transfiguration of Omar Agah - I just thought it was such a clever and inspired reimagining of the Goya piece that not only just looks cool but fitted the lore and story of Eris & Omar into it perfectly.

Wait, Monolith also did Shogo?? What a unique studio that was always trying to advance storytelling and gameplay in new ways - what a waste - best wishes to all affected :(

For the Witch Queen readings I'm thinking of mixing in some renders (god bless the Destiny Model Rips Discord) - I just wish I had some idea of what I was doing... Rhulk: "...Love... I... was... cared for..." Witness: "—-And who cares for you now?—-" (Shattered Suns - Untamed) #Destiny2

A render from Blender of the in-game models for the Witness and Rhulk. Rhulk is positioned kneeling before the Witness.

Similar, I'm in 2nd batch waiting as well as SE was not a quick 1st time run-through for my squad! Just keep buying stickers is my recommendation:

That means we're gonna have to do stuff.
Can't we just have a strategy or a... mission statement?”

You could make it have a Vault of Glass-style mechanic where you get sent back in time and throw a yellow filter over everything if they're running low on budget.

Just got out of the Scottish National Orchestra's performance of Final Symphony in Glasgow - a real joy to listen to! The FF VI performance had me grinning ear to ear from start to finish. I haven't played FF X but this music has got me thinking I should remedy that. #finalsymphony #finalfantasy

Everyone here looked so cool - I'm annoyed I didn't get the Drifter in shot. The Witness outfit though was really impressive.
