I have to say that NBC having a local voice in the booth during playoff series (just as they did during the regular season) is so valuable for the viewers. I love it.

This White Sox/Astros game is a major drag. This isn't what postseason baseball should be.

Voters are submitting ballots today. I do expect Stewart wins NL ROY, but it's going to be really interesting in terms of how people value ball. It won't be unanimous, that's for sure. I'd go Benge. (Hitters shown but also: McLean, 179.2 IP of 3.16 ball, 3.5 WAR) www.fangraphs.com/leaders/majo...

And so, another fantasy baseball season ends. I’ll miss the routine/competition. Now it’s time to focus on where my process went right/wrong. I mostly did great with pitching in mixed leagues, but my hitter strategy has been mixed. Sadly, it looks like I'll have time to study up.

I'm sure there's an explanation for it that I'm not seeing (or at least I hope), but it was jarring to see Jayden Daniels writhing in pain and his teammates just walking off the field either not paying attention or not offering any comfort to him in that moment. Marcus Mariota was the exception.

When I think about Howie Rose, I go back to listening to him on Mets Extra as a kid. When I would stay up a little too late on a school night with the radio under my pillow. That outro music of Mets Extra was a bummer. I wanted it to keep going forever. I feel the same way today.

I sort of feel bad for current Mets players, who are caught in the middle of what is essentially a message to the front office that they messed up. Not just in letting Pete Alonso walk, but in the failure to make the playoffs in back-to-back years despite two of the largest payrolls in MLB history.
