@fallthrough.fm your conversation about dhh reminded me of a similar conversation around nvim and its devs. I just can't be bothered to try and choose what software I use based on the politics of the devs. It's just too tiring. Also, since they're not a for-profit company, I don't see the point.

Tip: If you are having trouble importing your #wireguard #VPN conf file in #KDE #Plasma the error is non-intuitive and may merely stem from a long filename. (This was the case for me!)

Listening to grandmaster flash, talk about his childhood and how he took things apart and eventually that leads to his fascination with being a DJ makes me kind of sad with how everything's electronic now and you can't really take it apart and see how it works

Just heard about #AI models doing their thinking in "neuralese" instead of English. Turns out that the #ttrpg systems that have their different robots speaking binary or trinary intuitively knew how the bots would want to speak to each other (or internally) when they don't need to speak common.

@fallthrough.fm very interesting to see your thoughts on AI for prose vs what you guys have been saying about using it for coding. These nuanced takes are why I continue to love listening to you guys tackle the concept. Other than @pythonbytes.fm, everyone else is being too one-sided about the topic

While I enjoy the wackier episodes, it's really nice on the latest. How did this get made to hear them? Talk about Jack and really talk about the movie in more serious movie critique way and talk about like how odd the movie is. That's what I fell in love with the podcast about. #movies

there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.
