I'm suddenly OK that there is not a new Unreal Tournament in development

Say, Fuzzy Pickles! @djfuzzypickles.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Myst did come out on the Saturn the same year and I'm sure they changed focus for that release instead with improved graphic capability. Still, I would play Myst on SCD today, just for the aesthetic.

'Link: The Faces of Evil' and 'Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon' released on this day in 1993. Developed under a licensing agreement, owing to Nintendo's dealings with Philips. These two action-adventure Zelda titles have gone down in infamy, primarily for their uncanny animation.

Don't get me wrong. The Plus and Zero editions are pretty good and I do enjoy those editions, but for those who don't care for supplemental material, it could be a bit much (Plus especially with its large book that you have to unsleeve to get to the disks). We'll see what happens, I suppose.

I'm excited that Frontier finally gets a release in NA and I will get this release for sure. I do wish, though, that Anime Limited had a standard release too, for those who only want the show. I'm wondering if this edition may be the only one for Frontier, based on their releases of Plus and Zero.

I think that may be why I didn't continue way back when. Also due to schooling, but having to "force" myself to play it and ignoring other games/things and focus on one single game. Maybe I'm just not built to do MMOs but I may give this another spin and see where it takes me.

Looks like Final Fantasy XI finally has a free trial version of the game. I played it a very long time ago but might give this free version a go. It's just the base game, but I can at least go my own pace without worrying about carving a chunk of time and getting "my money's worth" out of it.

Oh for sure! I'd like to see it on PC or Switch mainly though with some fixes from the PS4 release. I got SOTN and Rondo elsewhere, but it would be more convenient if it was on modern systems (PS5 withstanding, since it can run the PS4 version).

Oh, looks like that was possibly concept art. But I would totally get Ristar and Gunstar Heroes figures. I mean, how could you not?

Shout out to the titles that were close but did not make this list: Streets of Rage, Outrun, Tomb Raider, Castlevania 1, NiGHTS into Dreams and Dance Dance Revolution.

Although I previously did top 9 games, these are games that have "made me who I am". I also think, like the previous list, that just having 9 here (in no particular order) was hard to narrow down but I think this is close.

My 9 Games That Shaped Who I Am (In no particular order): Super Mario 3, Legend of Kain: Soul Reaver, Mega Man Legends, Shenmue, Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), Unreal Tournament 99, Mother 3, Lunar: The Silver Star (actually Silver Star Story Complete but I like the box art of The Silver Star better), Xenoblade Chronicles 1

Just a reminder: a game doesn’t have to be a 10/10 or even a 9/10 to be a good game. The “I only play masterpieces” shit is part of the reason the industry is where it is right now. Let games just be good.

🎂🎂🎂Happy 27th Birthday, Dreamcast!🎂🎂🎂 I'll never forget the depth of your game library and how wonderfully diverse and creative your peripherals were

An illustration of Sonic holding the Dreamcast Twin Sticks next to Ulala from Space Channel 5 Part 2 holding a Dreamcast controller with a Seaman microphone, with Beat from Jet Grind Radio behind them holding a fishing controller. They are all intertwined by the cords of their peripherals, while behind them is a giant Dreamcast glowing gently over them. In the background are floating Chao, Light Chao, and Dark Chao, Amigo from Samba de Amigo, and a Chu Chu and Kapu Kapu. Also Seaman looking upset at Ulala, maybe Ulala said some crass words that he didn't enjoy

Also I don't think Damnation or Death Island count too much if they only had 5 to 7 reviews total. Damnation is listed at 100% on RT despite a 7.8/10 and a 8/10 review.

Probably not the most deepest take but my prediction on the Cregger Resident Evil film coming out soon: It's going to be, critically, the highest rated RE film, perhaps even one of the highest rated gaming films. But also will be the most mixed audience wise for asinine reasons.

Need to check out Let It Die again, now that they made the game available offline. I remember enjoy it but I was at the original last 10 levels and the difficulty curve got out of control and already wasn't feeling it being as grindy with the last 10 levels I did. I'm willing to give it another go.

Played a bit of the Duskbloods network test. I haven't played too many FromSoft Souls games but I do like the aesthetic of this title. Not big on it being mostly PVE/PVP focused but won't mind looking more into it, price depending. Hope they may expand sometime into some Single Player version too.

A bit late on this but the update to the Crunchyroll Store is beyond ridiculous. FOMO drops added in, removing manga, removing some blu-rays, gating off the store to mid or high tier members only. Not to beat a dead horse, but sad to see this after the Rightstuf purchase.
