I have to share my sayolara nerding with the world. I got to this part in episode 9, and got jumpscared by ncbi BLAST, a tool for comparing DNA, RNA and protein sequences to a massive database. So ofc I had to go onto the real blast and check out a couple of these sequences to see what they were

I'd love for someone to reply to this and tell me there's a book I need to read, but it's really disheartening to me how every time my hafu mom tells me about a book about being Japanese-American, it's about the camps. It's always the camps. I've yet to find a book that feels like it's about me.
