march of the unheard (2025) by the halo effect! the riffs have that 2000s in flames/dark tranquility kinda vibe that this band's great at tapping into, while still feeling fresh, really good stuff! standouts: cruel perception, what we become, forever astray, between directions

(2025 carry-over) koharu and minato, by hyaluron and daruma! still early in this but it's a fun comedic age gap yuri that's apparently autobiographical! the couple is really fun, minato is a baby animal in a cool tall girl's body and it's precious how much koharu loves her! can't wait to read more.

(2025 carry-over) bluer than love, by fukaumi kon! very low-key, gentle yuri. it's about how the right person can make your entire life more colorful, and it's so cute! the characters' emotions are handled with such care, and the art is light, airy and adorable. easily my best find of last year!

i was talking about kanamom and how it’s interesting that her favorite flower was white carnations, since she probably knew what they meant but maybe she loved them BECAUSE they made her feel happy that kanade would have something to remember her by? and she wanted to teach kanade that association

butterflies flew around her, the flowers were in full bloom, and all of the lights were telling her to move forward - this art shows mizuki viewing that scenery for the very first time. she'd been covering her eyes since the age-up (see her new visual 2-star and the mizu5 trained),

she's looking out at the world before her, and it's so beautiful, so touching that she has to cover her mouth. that does make the most sense given her expression, but it leaves you wondering: if she's covering her mouth, why are her hands facing outward?

maybe she's just said something embarrassing, something she'd never say? people cover their mouths in times like those. she doesn't normally share her true feelings, so it'd check out. but let's look at it from another angle. what if she's feeling emotionally moved by something?

her name on nightcord is "amia." we know why from a story perspective, that it comes from an anime character she loves, but it's also worth noting that "amia" backwards is "aima (合間)", which refers to an empty space, or an interval. she can't live the way she wants to,

but when her new visual was released, the lollipop had become green - a sign that she's decided she wants to move forward. (manzanita also pointed out that it's now heart-shaped, maybe showing that she's found her true feelings that have calmed, or that she's freed her heart!)

green means go. move forward. you can think of a green light as "move toward the future." but speaking of green, we've seen it elsewhere in her card arts. her first 2-star has her holding a lollipop that's half-red (well, pink, but not my words) and half-green. it can't decide whether to stop or go.
