Also, over 40 years ago, a young Dinosorceror admired the many model trains at Jimmy John's as a special lunch treat stop on the way to Baltimore to see relatives as his parents drove the family down. Current Dino™ is amazed the road still has the old-style highway divider, thought those vanished.

Self/hosted instances make it feel like the early days of the Internet & what High Fidelity aspired to do but with VRChat culture to do it.

It's done! Replacing only the "phone" keyboard cable and using a replacement floppy drive mechanism I happened to have that was the exact replacement needed, I've resurrected Ruth Davis' Amiga 1000 into full working condition, as far as I'm aware. Learned a couple new tidbits along the way.

Okay, two days of running the Time RemUVer™ (111F, ~7% peroxide, UV-C light), and here's the before and after. Same room lighting, same camera settings (fixed ISO, white balance, etc.) I think the results were worth it, but it just can't remove the super brown stuff.

I love when fantasy series have a dude called something like Stephen the All-Seeing, Keeper of the Demon Sword, hero of the Volcano Age. But in some tiny village, he's known as Bees Steve, that weird guy who loves beekeeping. The more uppercase titles the legend has, the funnier the contrast is.
