I'm really proud to announce our new website for #unikernel in #OCaml: uniker.nl. You can check details here: discuss.ocaml.org/t/ann-uniker-nl-u…. A new story begins!

It seems that not only is it possible to find people who are experts in #MirageOS without having been involved with it for years, but also to completely miss the point of #unikernels when using #AI (since, when it comes to "security" and unikernels, it is the handmade aspect that really counts) […]

I just deployed chaos.osau.re, it's a simple website (as an unikernel obvisouly) which is synchronized with my NTP server (osau.re:123) which is also an #unikernel in #OCaml - It exists for a (not so long) time, but it works well! You can check more details here […]

I found a rabbit-hole about encoding/decoding binary data in #OCaml, it results to a DSL which is the fastest about decoding things (like IPv4 packets). You can see the implementation here: github.com/robur-coop/bstr/tree/bin I will make a release soon!

RE: social.coop/@hannes/116965573528250… It’s a great #OCaml library for a widely used and very complex protocol. In any case, I’ve learnt a great many things from it and I still have a lot to learn.

A theft that, in this case and with the help of #AI, probably took only a few minutes because all our projects are publicly available. So, yes, you can copy our code, but it’s still hard to copy the technical ingenuity to find a solution, the skill to discuss technical matters with others, and […]

A little background might be helpful when others use #AI to replicate our design without our consent. For the past three years, at robur.coop, we’ve been trying to develop a scheduler for #OCaml. It isn’t inspired by eio (a competitor) because we want to solve problems we face every day […]

I’ve been working for several days now on an old #unikernel that I started back in 2022. Four years on, it incorporates our latest work on mkernel, mnet, #OCaml 5 and vif, which has allowed me to redeploy it on my server. paste.osau.re is now available again! It’s a good example of how […]

I’ve just discovered: riot.ml. Many people would say the end result is really good, but I think (and this is just my opinion) that it highlights a much sadder reality: what’s the point of recreating the world all on your own? Above all, it shows the inability of some people to even […]

Hey! We just launched a new mailing list powered entirely by OCaml unikernels. The website (itself a unikernel) is at https://mailingl.st. You can subscribe to ptt@mailingl.st by sending an email to ptt-subscribe@mailingl.st if you’re interested in the development and deployment of SMTP-related unikernels. Fair warning: this is still a public test mailing list for now. In the long run, it will focus on our ptt project. The SMTP protocol: a long and winding road! In the beginning, email It all ...

Once, I saw the project github.com/scosman/zipstreamer and thought that we could have the same thing in the form of a unikernel in OCaml. So I tried to "really" stream the content of an HTTP request (multipart/form-data) into a zip file, and it didn't take much code using Vif and Flux:
A request handler which zip "in-the-fly" a multipart/form-data contents.
