A year ago, I started implementing a ntp server as a unikernel. I had finished the big part: the client side, which combines multiple sources. Recently, I got back to this project and implemented the server side, which turned out not to be that difficult at […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

I've finally finished my implementation of SSH for unikernels in #OCaml. For this example, I've used @reynir project to implement a #unikernel that offers a chat service (like IRC) via SSH. So now we have an engine for providing a TUI within a unikernel that […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

And now, I can have a simple echo server on IPv6! Here, I verify that what I sent is what I receive (via sha1 computation). git.robur.coop/robur/mnet is a new full TCP/IPv{4,6} with #OCaml 5! Probably time to release experimental packages now!
2 terminals, one is a echo server, an other launch unikernels as echo client and they talk via TCP/IPv6!

In this small screenshot, you can see that I can ping my unikernel using IPv6! This was the last missing piece for mnet, our new TCP/IP stack for OCaml 5 and our unikernels. Beyond regaining what mirage-tcpip had to offer, several known bugs have been fixed […] [Original post on mastodon.social]
2 terminals, one which does a ping. Another which launches an unikernel. This screenshot shows that we can ping/pong an unikernel via IPv6.

The result is pretty cool, we can easily transform this server as an unikernel in OCaml (everything is done in #OCaml obviously)
A use of curl and zipinfo to show the result of the zip compression by the http server

Once, I saw the project github.com/scosman/zipstreamer and thought that we could have the same thing in the form of a unikernel in OCaml. So I tried to "really" stream the content of an HTTP request (multipart/form-data) into a zip file, and it didn't take much code using Vif and Flux:
A request handler which zip "in-the-fly" a multipart/form-data contents.
