didn’t initially realize this isn’t the tv show! it’s just a straight reread of her books as a cash grab. it’s basically a tribute album to raise money for charity; the charity is “for the good of society, transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely.” fuck every one of these people.

We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers. The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.

I suspect that fact that the vast majority of LLM users don’t seem to have received this (really very simple!) message is because the AI companies have a vested interest in us not understanding it. “ChatGPT is smart, it just makes mistakes sometimes” is much more marketable than the truth.
