Chauvin was, in fact, the cause of Floyd’s death. He used a technique that MPD and most other agencies have banned, specifically because it causes death. And the crime for which he was convicted is unintentional second-degree murder, which by definition does not require intent to kill.

I have said the last elected Republican that operated in good faith was Eisenhower. Retired conservative Judge Luttig now says the next bad faith act the GOP will pull will be refusing to seat elected Democrats in 2027 if they gain the majority, claiming fraud. You heard it here first.

BY a 5-4 margin, the U.S. Supreme Court has determined the U.S. Constitution has plain words that actually mean what they say. In a dissenting opinion, Justices Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch & Kavanaugh argue they are dread pirates and therefore the U.S. Constitution is more a guideline than a hard rule.

The Voting Rights Act is essentially dead and it’s quite possible that we will, like when a similar SCOTUS gutted civil rights at the fall of Reconstruction, see a disappearance of much of the Black congressional representation, especially in the most heavily Black states, which are in the South.
