Any other Apple users ever have ALL their Keynote files and Numbers files disappear off their computer and iCloud? I've talked with Apple support, but they're just like - "Huh, that's weird. Just restore your Time Machine backups, but the iCloud stuff is gone."

Thinking about everyday actions on this Earth Day & making small changes throughout the year that can add up. This year I've been swapping one regularly used plastic item for a non-plastic alternative each month. Spacing it out has made it easier and less expensive to shift things. (1/2)

One more note... Often "national days" are celebrated in schools see custodians, admin asst., school counselors, etc. BUT there are a few positions where it is often one person & it is overlooked. School Librarians fall in that group. Please do not miss this opportunity to give appreciation.

Small actions today: shopped at my local organic grocery store instead of the big one owned by a certain tech company. Also, working on deleting my wishlists on Amazon so that they (maybe?) have less data on me. Using Pinterest & Bookshop.org to make my new wishlists.

I haven't bought anything from Amazon in a month. You can do it folks. I'm excited about the economic blackout on Feb 28th & I'm focusing on supporting my local businesses w cash that day. But why not do that everyday as much as possible? We've gotten so used to convenience, but we can manage.

You might also want to reach out to the *issuers* of your Visa network cards. I have a credit and debit card with a bank I've been using for over a decade that uses the Visa network and they're going to hear about it as well.

Some sustainable websites I'm supporting now in lieu of Amazon: Thrive Market, Zero Waste Store, Mighty Nest. Also ordering more items (like Reel toilet paper & paper towels) directly from the company instead of using Amazon as a middle man. In almost all cases so far, it's not costing more.

Currently working on: trying to build curriculum around Tech Take Apart. I want my students to learn about the Right to Repair, eWaste, planned obsolesce, etc & incorporate that into Tech Take Apart activity where we reuse pieces to build something new. Still in the early stages, but I'm excited.
