She smiled up at him uncertainly.
Ben rose onto the balls of his feet and peered out across the dancefloor, pushing away from the wall. Rey copied him. ’But you said—’
‘Last minute lineup change. It happens,’ he said, and then turned to her. ‘Are you dancing?’
She pursed her lips and chose to pretend that the previous exchange hadn’t happened. ‘I don’t know. Are you asking?’
He shrugged like it was meaningless. ‘I’m asking.’

6.5 and 7 hours; frustrated w/ trying to get the neck folds to look right so i decided to work on his mouth and chin for a while wip / digital painting / #art / #AdamDriver / #reyloww

an unfinished monochromatic freehand digital painting of Adam Driver after 6.5 hours of work; almost all the painting has had the first rough tones smoothed out, with the exception of his chin, which i'm in the midst of detailing. I've detailed some of his beard along his the edge o his right chin, and have started with the textures on his lower lip, as well as some finer work on his teeth.

the same painting after 30 more minutes of work, 7 hours total, and I did a bit more on his lip and the beard on the right side of his chin

Already, Rey could taste the buttery perfection of his mashed potatoes, and she inhaled deeply. A testament to Ben’s skill in the kitchen, the spices and herbs and roasting vegetables were a decadence, even through the chemical haze of her industrial-grade suppressants.
It had been more than ten years since she’d smelled anything without that screen. And if she could help it, she’d never smell anything clearly ever again. She’d never risk it. Never again.
“Benjamin, it’s by special request. Everyone loves your orange and cranberry compote, but an alternative never hurts. Some of us have less refined palates.” Rey wagged a finger at him, then squealed as a baby carrot whipped past her head. “Hey!”

5.5 & 6 hrs: lots of work on his clothes (a wild zipper appears at 6 hrs), & I finally get cracking on his chin wip/ digital painting / #art / #AdamDriver / #reyloww
