This iced coffee thing might kill me. Pro tip from someone who works for a recruitment firm. For a professional interview, don't bring anything to put out before an interview but a copy of your CV and a notebook for notes. Most places will offer you a drink at reception or before the interview

The funniest part of all of this is how much of modern English Shakespeare flat out invented in his works. I mean, he's credited as the origin of over 1700 words and they're going to adapt him to a language used over 500 years before his birth?

It's not just the cruelty for the sake of cruelty, the omnipresent grift, and the anti-science, anti-reality elements of the modern right wing, but it is the bone deep stupidity of it as a movement that continues to astound me.

The newly proposed associate member status within the EU is about along the lines I expected any sort of Canadian-EU integration to take. But I'm surprised that the notoriously slow EU is not only the group that first proposed it, but it pushing it with significantly favourable terms.

Elect the Democrat and then immediately give them unending shit where they’re bad and primary them if they don’t shape up and then also vote for them against the Republican if they still win. It’s not the most satisfying but it’s dead simple and obviously correct.

Another key point to that is that comedy evolves, and younger readers have already read works heavily influenced by Adams without knowing it, so Hitchhikers can come off as quaint or even simple as opposed to being sharp satire and wit.

I like how this looks like a movie about three girls in their 20s who just don't get along but all have to live together after their grandmother leaves them her rambling mansion in her will, with Sarah McLachlan as their kooky aunt who's also the mayor.
Rolling Stone cover picturing Chappell Roan (in pale white porcelain doll makeup), leaning her head on Olivia Rodrigo's shoulder, with Doechii leaning over Olivia's other shoulder. Olivia has a daisy in her mouth. Sarah McLachlan is leaning over them like she's descending from orbit. The closest thing to a perfect burger was actually in 'The Menu'. Two patties, smashed thin with lots of barque from the grill and seasoning, American cheese, thinly cut onions that almost disappear into the fat, a solid white bun that doesn't fall apart when greasy.

Heartbreaking. Tippett was a modern day Ray Harryhausen. His studio is responsible for special effects in damn near all my favorite movies. Most recently, they did the stop motion animation for the giant droid fight in The Mandalorian and Grogu.
The Mandalorian fighting a giant droid, which was animated by hand using models. This scene whips ass. The practical effects give the entire sequence a beautiful, tactile quality.

A couple of things. First, Canada will not join the EU as a traditional core member status like France or Germany. What is possible is a trade status that aligns Canada with the European Economic Area (EEA) . Funnily enough, when the Maastricht Treaty was signed, technically Canada qualified.
