Coco would like to remind everyone that curling up in warm blankets is a perfectly valid way to spend a snow day. (Even better if you have a good book, but unfortunately she lacks the ability to read.)
A fawn-colored tabby cat lies on her back while she grooms her left front leg (right, from the perspective of the viewer). She lies upon a deep purple blanket. Both the top and bottom of the frame show the light purple blanket under both the darker blanket and the cat.

Dali says hi to her @littermates.bsky.social.
A lynx-point Siamese cat with magnificent long whiskers takes up the entire frame of the picture. She is standing on someone’s lap with her head close to the camera so it takes up most of the frame. Her blue eyes are open and looking at the camera.

CoverLetter_Version5 by Courtney Floyd is excellent scifi flash fiction for anyone who's been on the professional job market. It somehow captures the essence of the entire experience through 1,000 words that you actually want to read. And reread. And ponder. Audio/eprint. Highly recommend.

I still want all audiobooks to be narrated by real, live people because AI can never match voice actors, but Speechify is proving to be a decent accessibility tool for helping me read all the @seananmcguire.bsky.social October Daye shorts that aren’t available in audio.

”The Four Sisters Overlooking the Sea”by @naomikritzer.bsky.social (Asimov’s 9-10/24) just won a Hugo Award! It’s the only non-audio short fiction I managed to read this year (post-concussion still sucks) and it was so worth it. Find yourselves a copy, folks!

The cats love the bay windows in our temporary rental. How do I break it to them that our new house doesn’t have any?
A black cat with yellow eyes lounges in a bay window, her front end and head facing the camera. Her ears are straight up. Through the window a grey wooden house is visible.

Thistlefoot by GennaRose Nethercott is a novel about generational trauma and the power and the necessity of stories. It tugged at my heartstrings in all the right places, but cat lovers beware of a few catskin references. Magical realism. Highly recommend. Audio/print. 🌈📚 ✡️📚

Rainbow capitalism aside, queer books are actively under attack, and now is a great time to show publishers there's still a thriving market for books with LGBTIA+ characters and by LGBTIA+ authors. The rescue is trying to trap these two and if so, it’s socializing time! I finally feel recovered enough to start fostering again!
Two light grey tabby kittens lie on an outdoor table, one against the other. Their faces are towards the camera, ears straight up, and one little white paw is poking out from under the kitten in front. Bare tree branches are in the background.

The therapist is in.
A lynx-point Siamese loafs on a black table with her front end towards the camera, one leg stretched in front of her. Her crossed blue eyes are looking up into the camera though her head is straight and her ears are pointed straight up. A sunbeam shines on the left side of the cat and her outstretched leg. To her right, in front of a computer monitor, is a black baseball cap that reads “my therapist purrs” above an embroidered white sitting cat and multicolored embroidered paw prints. To the left of the cat is a printer.

I met the neighborhood void yesterday! Judging from the sleekness of this feline, I'm fairly certain they have a home. Our neighborhood is not known for its community cats. (As much as I loved admiring them, can the family of this cat please keep them inside before the wildlife does them harm?)
A long-haired black cat looks down at tall grass with their tail curved upwards. The sun shines on the cat, shining white streaks in its fur. Behind the cat is a dark railing. In the background on the left is a closed dark green outdoor umbrella.A long-haired black cat with an upright tail stands on a grassy slope with tail upright. They are facing downhill with their head slightly down and turned to the right. The sun shines on the cat, shining white streaks in its fur. At the bottom of the frame is the top of a stone wall. To the left of the cat is a black mailbox with its red flag lowered. A black cat walks in the overgrown grass to the right, away from the camera, with their tail upward and slightly curved. The sun shines on the cat, shining white streaks in its fur. At the bottom left of the frame are a couple of stones.

Do I have the most adorable cat in the world or do I have the most adorable cat in the world?
A fawn-colored tabby cat is splayed on her back on a blue bedspread, hind legs in the air and her tail curved. One forepaw is folded in to her chest and the other is stretched out by her head, which faces the camera. One eye is open and the other is squinting.

Seriously, cats. I know you’re the best medicine but sometimes I do need to supplement you with OT exercises, and that involves you not sitting on them.

She came. She purred. She left to attack the tissue box. My emotional support cat is still a cat.
A fawn-colored tabby car is stretched out on the legs of her human. The human’s legs are covered in a pink blanket with cats on it. The side of the tabby’s face is to the camera and she looks like she’s smiling. This is a picture of a previous day because said human is unwilling to post about the cat without also showing her off.

Lassi says, “Forget your OT exercises. The only lines you need to follow are my stripes.”
A brown tabby cat with a red collar sits on a table, her head looking underneath it. Under the cat is a sheet of paper with images linked together by a mess of lines - an OT exercise. The images on the right of the page are entirely covered by the cat.
