Confused by headlines about Daniel Thomas "Slashing a dingy". Burying the lede somewhat, when video shows him slashing a dingy *with a lifeboat man on it". Watercraft welfare not terribly high on most people's list of concerns. Threatening to drown emergency workers perhaps more so.

As a cyclist I thought I'd die under the wheels of a Landrover or Qashqai. As is written. But I think now it's the smaller cars: 500s, Minis, etc. A wipe-clean "starting uni" present, darting into a side street impervious to the Northern plebeian crossing… just another statistic waiting to happen.

I've recently gone from being primarily a cyclist to a pedestrian. As the summer ends, Ecclesall Rd, #Sheffield has got _super-fun_. Someone almost hit me this morning. They saw me in the road. They slowed… then *accelerated*. I was on a zebra crossing. Outside a primary school. Cool, cool.
