Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/09/2026As far as sci-fi goes in order of action-y to serious hard sci-fi Gridlinked by Neal Asher Revelation space by Alastair Reynolds Blindsight by Peter watts All of these will probably become movies or tv shows à la the expanse once the studios start looking for good plots again 010
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Oh sorry if you check on the web version of your calendar service (Google or iCloud) you can determine which device isn’t syncing properly 100
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Unfortunately they will probably make you go through everything all over again. The only thing I can suggest that would help is to kick any old devices off the account and restore the phone in particular if you haven’t. 110
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Reminders technically uses the calendar so toggle that off at the same time if you can 100
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 15/09/2026It is maddening when this happens because all the major tech companies just do the Spider-Man pointing meme as far as sync goes and it happens with all of them (in my experience). Last thing I’d suggest is turning off iCloud calendar sync and powering off the phone then turning it all back on 100
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Im guessing you’ve logged out / in on both and updated each device. Might be a dumb question but is your time zone set the same on both devices and do you have any old devices that are still on the account (both of these have caused issues for me in the past particularly the latter) 110

Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Kenny truly is a load bearing pillar of the indie game-dev world. More people should follow and support his efforts! 190
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026The decision to brand the lead up to this as homework is surely an all-time fumble 20 years in the making that should be studied 020
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026People are definitely making irl money however you’re right in that there is a bit of a bag holding / transfer situation. It’s not always predatory - people want to buy in at a discount - however there are some transferable promotional items / rewards etc that are sold at extreme prices by some 010
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026However there are people who have bought in to large degrees and covered their costs (and for some enterprising individuals) and then some. It’s a bit long winded for Bluesky posts but if you ever do an ep or feature or whatever on it I’d be happy to help shine a light on the mechanics and methods 000
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Put simply yes although to their credit CIG is making it harder for the “gray market” to be as exploitative as it once was and there’s always the issue where you can only transfer the money around - you can’t get it back from CIG just someone else who’s more interested then you 210
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Rumor has it though that Henry cavill (central cast member) is/has a true believer in the project(s) - whether that still holds true in 2026 who knows 010
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Oh for sure - I just mean that him and a ton of other hollywood actors have been billed as featuring heavily in its very extended / FMV esque cinematics that would probably give kojima a run for his money 110
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026There’s a bit of an interesting thing that happens that kindve crosses your beat tbh. It is kinda the initial pre-nft pay-for-jpg system & A lot of long term players actually find ways to buy themselves out of the game and recoup their costs by transferring around store credit in various ways 100
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026I was a non-believer for a long while. It can be a lot of fun with friends when it is firing on all cylinders - however - it’s definitely not without issue and suffers in spite of itself 100
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Do you like mark hamill? Because there’s gonna be a lot of mark hamill 100
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026You’re not wrong - the mmo side of the project suffers explicitly on those terms though that because of the real focus of the company is the cinematic sp side of things. As far as pay to play - you can do fine with the most basic ships however Marketing would like you to believe otherwise 101
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026It’s supposed to release this year and will be competing with GTA 6s release so it’s gonna be interesting how much the star studded cast bouys its release / success after the 15 year wait 110
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 18/08/2026It’s definitely buggy at points - it is playable. The big thing with SC is that the “persistent universe” is secondary development wise to the main project which is the singleplayer spiritual successor to the wingman / freelancer games “squadron 42” which is bane of most people who play the game 200
Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 17/08/2026this is nothing for this community lol. But it’s also nothing compared to other more exploitative games 120

Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 14/10/2025Can relate heavily. It was really really hard even before the latest current events and it was a grind to go through every day for months on end. Keeping hope alive is not easy but it’s imperative 020

Sam @designleviathan.bsky.social · 29/09/2025This is already happening here from experience except they just ask you to link your entire bank account to their software so it can copy and analyze your entire account history. Doesn’t matter if you can prove otherwise with say a bank letter etc. If you don’t link they cancel the application. 010
