So to all their supporters bleating "Well, what would YOU have done differently?", that's what. I would have gone meekly and humbly to the EU and began the painful process of negotiating Britain's reentry. It won't be quick. It won't be easy. But it won't happen at all until we get started!

I don't want to hear "we can't afford it" one more time from Labour. Not while they continue to reinforce their Brexit red lines. The amount of money being left on the table by not seeking to rejoin the EU is eye-watering. The tax lost to Brexit would have paid for everything Labour needed.

BBC News sum up gains for the UK £2 billion - CPTPP £5 billion - India £9 billion - EU However, keeping the UK outside an UK-EU Customs Union, and access to the EU Single Market costs us £140 billion a year So yes, £9 billion is great, but nowhere near the £140 billion we have lost due to Brexit
