I’m conflicted on this new trend to limit social media access for young people. On the one hand, it limits propaganda efforts to make them into future puppets of authoritarian governments. Like, how are they going to be convinced that electing criminals into power is what god wants?

A lot of us continue to spend in products that make oligarchs wealthier and more able to align themselves with an admin who rewards them with the taxes we paid for their products. It should be easy to be without cable, Netflix, Amazon prime, etc. Cut the umbilical cord. Not a boycott. Common sense.

I just discovered a subreddit whose members post about how they are being gangstalked - unknown people watch, monitor and infiltrate their lives. They have 900 active posters and their common theme is how they detect the infiltrators’ presence. My initial reaction was of concern for them. 1/2

In the old days, I would listen to a 10 song album repeatedly and after some time my brain would start playing the next song before it actually started. Now I have a music app, and if I don’t set it on random my brain does the same thing, but now it’s tens of thousands songs.
