Waking at 3:30am is a little frustrating. Waking with chest pains is frankly terrifying. Panicking about the chest pains is, unsurprisingly, not alleviating any discomfort. Le sigh. My heart rate is a little fast but extremely regular. I'm fine. And my dogs' farts STINK which may be what woke me.

My mum took her book to the chair in the front room where she can put her feet up, and I came to lay in my spot on the sofa. I declared the dogs would have to choose their favourite. Flatteringly, I won.

Himself was digging over the new spring bulb bed and I was supervising (my abdomen today is made of extra fluid and discomfort). We lasted ten minutes before the gnats drove us inside. Boy dog was so happy and relieved at our return he disemboweled me. I'm not a fan of that animal any more.

Dog as a weighted blanket is such a brilliant thing. He's warm, I can feel his heart beat, and he's the perfect weight to relieve the discomfort in my hip. I rue the fact I must evict Himself to bring me coffee in bed, for when I do there will be a dogsplosion.

Lying in bed is so much more fun when it doesn't make you hurt. But I think this is largely my own fault because I forgot to take my drugs yesterday (well, it certainly explains the excruciating headache yesterday, I'm making assumptions about this. Casting aspersions even.)

I really must get out of bed and I really don't want to. Also, last night I dreamed we were planning a vow renewal and Himself put together a surprise for me where he'd written a letter for me to give to the supplier if that was what I wanted. There was lots of jumping around and screaming.

Poor mum is freaking out. We have a Big Worrying Thing (™️) today and she's spiralling. ADHD is getting in the way of doing useful things and I'm no help at all. So I'm drinking coffee and planning to wash dishes/ assemble stuff I know is needed in the hopes that she can shower in 15 minutes.

After a full night of travels with intermittent napping I went to bed last night at 9pm local time. I woke up with my eyes firmly closed behind my mask and started those calculations - you know "if it's 2am, I've had 5 hours and I'll be annoyed. If it's 4am, 7 hours is ok." It's 7am, people.
