I may have found a new way of doing rounded end-caps on cylinders or spheres that has really little distortion, even when using a subdivision modifier. Basically if the cylinder is x number of verts around, you make a star with half that number of points and collapse the center. Then its all quads!

The end-cap of a spherical 3d model. The circle making up the end-cap has 14 points. Inside of the circle there is a 7 pointed star, neatly dividing the circle up so that every polygon within it has 4 sides and 4 verts.

The same spherical 3d model at a subdivision level of 1

The same spherical 3d model at a subdivision level of 2

Rubberized Inmate Safety Suit #rubber #latex #ocsky

Rubberized Inmate "Safety Suit"
A unique solution to particularly belligerent and uncooperative inmates, this pressurized suit renders them harmless to both themselves and other prisoners, all without permanently immobilizing them, it is however, very unwieldy

-Inflatable collar both protects and immobilizes inmate's neck
-Pressurized bands around the joints limit movement without fully restricting it
-Extra padding around hands and fingers make gripping items difficult, and throwing punches useless
-Mounting points provide additional options for securing inmate
-Pressurized bands around the knees slow inmate's movement to a waddle
-Rubber-coated foam boots make kicking and struggling harmless to both inmate and staff

recalling this, for a certain little Kestrel

I suppose that most people are more familiar with pet dogs than falconry and therefore calling a dehumanized mech pilot a "hound" is more immediately evocative than calling it a "hawk", but you gotta admit the vibe of a handler as falconer and the pilots as birds of prey absolutely slaps. If anybody does something like mechsploitation but with SF fighter jets instead of giant robots, pleeease call the pilots hawks.
If I may:
An image of a falcon with its hood next to a fighter pilot who's oxygen mask resembles a beak, and their sun visor as the hood.
"Exactly"

Pro tip: you don’t have to comm artists to boost and support them. People claim they can’t support artists and creators because they are financially strapped, but they can still boost posts, comment, like, and in general just be supportive! It’s completely free outside of an internet connection ;)
