Oh no, it's that time of year again: The awkward week where the EU (and other places maybe?) do daylight savings a week before the US does, which means all of your recurring meetings are hosed. If someone no-shows your international meeting this week, be warned!

Apparently there is Babybel raclette -- I think I need to stop researching now. (Pro tip: don't eat the underwear)
An ad (I think) for Babybel raclette cheese, with 2 cheeses having fun while a third is melted. And cheese underwear for no apparent reason.

Please do this (though I know I've done it before and it looks like mine got reset, so I just had to check it again). It's not that hard and it really helps out. Also, with things like Google Lens, it's easier than ever to do alt text. Or just write it out.

The most important thing I ever learned on Bluesky:
The Bluesky cycle of life. First you joining and question if it’s really called skeeting. Then you slowly come to accept it after some light threats. Then you adopt our way of life and threaten the next generation.

Does someone in the NYC area know a hacker / makerspace or other artist collective that would use a basically new Form 3? A friend is giving it away for free; I can think of spaces on the west coast but we'd have to pay shipping.

Looking into buying a new suitcase for travel - omg, the web is so full of trash. "Here's why you should trust me" - no, buddy, that's why nobody should. "Updated for 2024" - I see you checked the affiliate links if they still work, good job. Time to browse Flyertalk & Reddit, I guess.

My tattoo artist just reposted this enthusiastically endorsing the messaging "what next should I have a computer that eats my dinner and fucks my wife?"
I have no idea what platform this is from. But it's from a tattoo artist saying AI art sucks. I'm not typing all this out, someone else can alt4me or whatever.

it is so dang funny to me that there is this cultural pressure for artists to be modest about their art. Mask bans are evil and dystopian and I am appalled that they’re even being proposed. Wearing masks to protect your health and the health of others needs to be recognized as a right for all and an absolutely essential protection for those who would otherwise be unable to participate in society
