Apparently there is Babybel raclette -- I think I need to stop researching now. (Pro tip: don't eat the underwear)
An ad (I think) for Babybel raclette cheese, with 2 cheeses having fun while a third is melted. And cheese underwear for no apparent reason.

One of the big Swiss retailers seems to have started using AI-generated images in ads. Caption "Make it" -- shouldn't it be "Fake it"? Anyway.
Likely AI-generated image from a Swiss Migros ad. Man with funky fingers, arms stretched out. Countless bird-houses in physically impossible configurations. A lot of birds in the sky, some look like petrodactyls.

Asking Bard: summarize my emails from search console and use them to write an obituary for SEO.

Google Workspace
SEO, once a thriving industry, has passed away. Its death was not sudden, but rather a slow decline, as Google Search evolved and made it easier for businesses to rank their websites without the need for SEO expertise.

In its early days, SEO was a complex and technical field, requiring specialized knowledge and skills to optimize websites for search engines. SEO professionals helped businesses to improve their website rankings, which led to increased traffic and sales.

However, as Google Search became more sophisticated, it became easier for businesses to rank their websites without the need for SEO expertise. Google introduced a number of features that made it easier for businesses to create high-quality content that would rank well in search results, such as structured data markup and featured snippets.

In today's episode of "Life at Google", Gary came over and asked "do you remember what Eric Schmidt used to say?" ... ... and I haven't been able to stop asking Bard/ChatGPT for Eric-quotes since then. Either Eric said a lot of things, or these two are very creative. Hmm.
Culminating in "Do what you love, and the rest will come." - probably the most fitting for BlueSky.

The rest:
Sure, here are some additional quotes associated with Eric Schmidt:

"Solving big problems is easier than solving little problems."

"Innovation never stops, and you always have to be ready for what's coming next."

"Brands are the solution, not the problem. Brands are how you sort out the cesspool."

"The ability to work hard and make unique contributions is at the heart of America’s strength."

"If you focus on your competition, you will never deliver anything truly innovative."

"Never forget that only dead fish swim with the stream."

"There is a tremendous opportunity for a new form of identity, which is not your real identity."

"We need to act now to avoid the surveillance state."

"Education is the key to the future: You've heard it a million times, and it's not wrong. Educated people have higher wages and lower unemployment rates, and better-educated countries gr...

Compuitrs can tho.
"CHAT" gpt saying: Sure, in some other languages, you can spell the word "cat" without the letter "a". Here are a few examples:

Spanish: gato (without "a", it could be "gto")
French: chat (without "a", it could be "cht")
Italian: gatto (without "a", it could be "gtto")
German: Katze (without "a", it could be "Ktze")
Please note that these spellings are not correct without the "a", and would not be understood in normal conversation. They are just illustrative of how the word "cat" would look in these languages without the "a". If you were trying to communicate in these languages, it would be important to use the correct spelling.

Watching Reddit poke itself in the wheel is kinda sad, but realistically, it'll have a relatively small effect on the user numbers in the short term. It will push a bit more for other platforms though, like Twitter did, creating more incompatible diversification. Maybe that's ok for the web.

Site-migrations -- what to watch out for when it comes to SEO? 1. Use 301 server-side redirects 2. Don't mess up 4. Be consistent and watch the details. 5. Update all links 6. How do you SEO an invite-only beta? 7. Disregard this post, sorry.
I asked CHatGPT about site migrations, here's what it said... Site migrations are like hair transplants for websites: sometimes they look great, but other times, you're left wondering if it was worth the pain.

Site migrations: the SEO equivalent of a blindfolded game of musical chairs, where nobody knows which seat they'll end up in.

Migrating a site for SEO is like trying to herd cats through a maze of broken glass: chaotic, painful, and often leaving you questioning your life choices.

Site migrations are like a game of Jenga: one wrong move and your SEO ranking comes crashing down.

SEO site migrations are like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube in the dark. You're pretty sure you've made progress, but in the end, you're just left with a mess of colors.

They say Rome wasn't built in a day, but with a site migration, you might destroy it faster than that.

When it comes to site migrations, there are two types of people: those who've had their rankings tank, and those who haven't migra
