As do I. I agree with you; it had a lot of issues but, as you said, Purefoy sold the hell out of it. Wish everything else had been on board with him, however, still a lovable disaster.

Solomon Kane is one of my favorite of R. E. Howard's characters, and I was so hoping this movie would have done better (it's not a bad movie but it had a lot against it). As always, Mike does a great job breaking this one down and giving this movie its due.

I have come to the conclusion that after 372 hours played, I am never going to get past a few the first hours of Act 2 of Baldur's Gate 3. I think I can call it and move on.

Most would say turn them into a collage, but that's up to you. I'm not a fan of collage myself for preference. Possible alternatives: zines, creative painting over the photos, Photoshopping/digital compositing if you prefer that. Just a few suggestions if you are interested.

Recently started to listening to the "Old Gods of Appalachia" podcast and hoo boy, that's some good dark cosmic horror. Also found out Those Poor Bastards are a thing, and they're good too. I am very late to this party.

Hey all. August has been ridiculously busy. Lots going on between doing the rounds promoting my comic, doing art commissions, family stuff, school starting and certification class being a thing. That being said, likely won't have a new episode of the show until September. Be ready!

I've been known to read and reference a Tolkien novel and play a game. And talk about one particular Tolkien-based game that just got a "legendary edition" re-release...

010

Deleted Saves Podcast @deletedsaves.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

That depends. How long have you got to hear me talk about how the popular game from a long list of "classics" and "critical darlings" you believe is some kind of masterpiece is actually a piece of shit? Because it's a lot.

Well, I've been trying to tackle and complete a bunch of games this summer. I have been able to get a few of those done (Skald, Absolum, Space Marine 2, Tormented Souls 2, Cronos), but I feel like I needed something fresh. All this to say I have been utterly charmed by Kingdoms of the Dump.

@distractedelf.bsky.social has convinced me, without a doubt, of how terrible Mystra is. And considering how many D&D licensed video games I have reviewed over the years, that is a lot of Mystra-based shenanigans going on in the background.

Hey all! I’m finally getting to live a small dream and publish my own comic! I only have limited physical copies at the moment; I hope to expand to online sales in the future. But hey, look at that!

That has long been my concern. There are a few glaring issues that need a modern update, and some more annoying smaller things that will need to be addressed. I guess we shall see soon enough what they did.

Deleted Saves Podcast @deletedsaves.bsky.social · 06/06/2026

Well, looks like I'll have to eventually update my episode on Resident Evil: Code Veronica...

Deleted Saves Podcast @deletedsaves.bsky.social · 06/06/2026

Guarded optimism. The Dreamcast is also where I first played it and it does need an update. I'll be keeping a close eye on it.

In case anyone was worried, I do have more episodes coming. I have two scripts in the pipe ready to go, just having trouble finding time to record as of right now. But they will be done soon.

14. Streets of Rage 4 - 3 hrs Everything I could have wanted from an new entry in one of my favorite beat 'em up series. The art & animations were like a cartoon come to life. The soundtrack was a banger. Gameplay was a blast. A love letter to Streets of Rage fans and I absolutely loved it.

It is! The original comic strip debuted in 1905, and it was groundbreaking, artistically. Look it up, it's quite a story!

Deleted Saves Podcast @deletedsaves.bsky.social · 02/04/2026

Well, kind of the same thing really. The property has been in public domain for decades now as the original creator and his family are long gone, so anyone can make it. That's why Capcom made one in 1990, and a new studio made a new game property on it now.

The following quote is included:

"Aether & Iron was the game I had only dreamt of prior to its release. It is a game that leads with evocative writing, flawlessly performed by a gutted voice cast, and set within an avant-garde world of compelling ideas."

I'm finding myself tempted to get a Super Everdrive, but it looks like I would have to get a working SNES console, which I do not have, and time to play it which I also do not have.
