Recently started to listening to the "Old Gods of Appalachia" podcast and hoo boy, that's some good dark cosmic horror. Also found out Those Poor Bastards are a thing, and they're good too. I am very late to this party.

Make things/talk about what you find important/love what you love because YOU LOVE IT! Not for useless social capital.

Hey all. August has been ridiculously busy. Lots going on between doing the rounds promoting my comic, doing art commissions, family stuff, school starting and certification class being a thing. That being said, likely won't have a new episode of the show until September. Be ready!

That depends. How long have you got to hear me talk about how the popular game from a long list of "classics" and "critical darlings" you believe is some kind of masterpiece is actually a piece of shit? Because it's a lot.

Well, I've been trying to tackle and complete a bunch of games this summer. I have been able to get a few of those done (Skald, Absolum, Space Marine 2, Tormented Souls 2, Cronos), but I feel like I needed something fresh. All this to say I have been utterly charmed by Kingdoms of the Dump.

@distractedelf.bsky.social has convinced me, without a doubt, of how terrible Mystra is. And considering how many D&D licensed video games I have reviewed over the years, that is a lot of Mystra-based shenanigans going on in the background.

Sorry I'm late uploading a new episode. Been dealing with art stuff. Will get it out soon as I can. Thanks again for your patience!

Hey all! I’m finally getting to live a small dream and publish my own comic! I only have limited physical copies at the moment; I hope to expand to online sales in the future. But hey, look at that!

In case anyone was worried, I do have more episodes coming. I have two scripts in the pipe ready to go, just having trouble finding time to record as of right now. But they will be done soon.

Completed both Absolum and Cronos: the New Dawn this week and man, both feel like major accomplishments. Great games, both of them, for different reasons and the idea that they aren't talked about more is a literal shame.

14. Streets of Rage 4 - 3 hrs Everything I could have wanted from an new entry in one of my favorite beat 'em up series. The art & animations were like a cartoon come to life. The soundtrack was a banger. Gameplay was a blast. A love letter to Streets of Rage fans and I absolutely loved it.

Muster a crew, master tactical turn-based combat, and unravel the dark secrets lurking beneath the floating metropolis set in a Decopunk Narrative RPG set in an alternate 1930s. Learn more on Aether & Iron, in our full review: somanygames.co.uk/review/aethe...

A person wearing a 1930s pin stripe suit and hat is shooting a gun while riding on a flying car modelled after the cars of that era.

The following quote is included:

"Aether & Iron was the game I had only dreamt of prior to its release. It is a game that leads with evocative writing, flawlessly performed by a gutted voice cast, and set within an avant-garde world of compelling ideas."

No new episode this week. I have the script written, but illness is preventing me from recording. Being a teacher for a day job means I get to be exposed to every stupid cold/flu/virus in the world. Sometimes they take hold.

Couple of quick hits from games: Played Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors. Beat it in 3 hours. What an absolute blast of a game! Played some of Sea of Stars. Already loving it. Reminds me a lot of Chrono Trigger, even if all the beats aren't the same.

I know I say this every few months, but as I have been recently reminded again how invisible this show is and what I've been doing for the last four years is easily disregarded, I do want to thank everyone who has listened in, given what I do with a shot, and stayed with me and Deleted Saves.
