Where's the evidence that mental health is being "overdiagnosed"?
Dear UK government,

Let's be clear: our mental health is getting worse, and cutting benefits won’t help.

You claim mental health is being “overdiagnosed”, but where’s the evidence?

The reality is that our environment affects our wellbeing - pandemics, the cost of living crisis, political unrest and ongoing concerns around climate change are all taking their toll.

But when people seek help, they face months, or even years, of waiting.

Rhetoric like this is dangerous. It reinforces stigma and stops people getting support.

If you’re serious about change, listen to those affected. We can turn this crisis around - but only if the government works with us, not against us.

We look forward to hearing from you,

Mind

Why the need to keep punishing people for poor political decisions? Time - particularly now - to correct those decisions, remove ruinous red lines and breathe life into the economy again. There is no mandate *at all* to continue with Austerity in order to protect Brexit. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Having just watched my father die at home over a period of about 8 weeks, death is nothing as portrayed in the movies. It’s difficult to watch the suffering and it’s also banal. My father also died 10 mins after I had left for a break, after being there for 16 hrs.

There was a time that imposing a tax on certain imported goods would result in Americans rising up against their rulers. These days the rulers just have to lie to them about what a tariff is and they cheer the tax they're forced to pay.
