The ACTUAL biggest threat to humanity is not AI, it’s the fucking irresponsible, lawless billionaires. If they can hurt children and get away with it, what is there to stop them?

This is a lie. It's a right-wing talking point to say rents are falling "because of immigration changes." Immigrants aren't why the market is suddenly flooded with unsold 1-bedroom apartments that were CLEARLY designed for speculators and short-term stays. The AirBNB law changed things a LOT.

Reality check: B.C. government takes credit for falling rents. Experts say federal immigration cuts a big reason

According to rentals.ca, B.C. apartment rental prices are down 12.1 per cent in the past three years.

But Jim, won’t the problem be solved by abandoning woke ideology, and getting back to “law and order”, enforcement focused governance, like we had in the 1960’s [insert preferred decade here]?

5/ The key thing is that everyone is different. We all have different preferences, abilities, and needs, so having multiple transportation options (sidewalks, bike & roll lanes, transit, AND cars) means that more people can get around in a way that works for them.

For all the #yyjpoli folks who scream “more enforcement!” and “good governance”, check the math. Focusing on policing and “law and order” without housing is a waste of money and BAD governance. Don’t buy into it at election time. www.facebook.com/share/p/14WA... bc
