Far too many people simply hate children for existing

Neighbor blasts an ultrasonic device audible and painful only to children whenever they pass on the public sidewalk.

Was riding bikes with my daughter and a friend to school this morning. We passed a house and they both started yelling, "Ow! It hurts my ears." Really strange, right? Then I hear a voice play through a speaker who says, "If it hurts your ears, ride your bikes somewhere else!"

Now I'm angry. Literally doing nothing but riding bikes to school, probably one of the most wholesome activities a person could imagine, and...I can't even get my brain around it.

It's apparently not loud, but it is tuned to a frequency higher than I can hear. If it's low enough for my children to hear it, it's going to be almost useless as an animal deterrent. It is specifically designed to cause pain to humans and serves no other purpose.

How is this legal?

Blade was originally supposed to be set in the 1920s, but then things stalled, and the costume designer for Blade was asked to join Sinners. Marvel sold all of their wardrobe to Coogler. So the closest we'll ever get to knowing what Blade would've looked like aesthetically is by watching sinners😭

As a parent who homeschooled her 3 kids (1 to hs, 2 through hs) I agree 💯. NYS is considered “unfriendly” to homeschoolers by some folks, presumably bc you have to tell the state what you’re going to teach your kids then prove that you did it. Only hard if you don’t actually intend to teach them

There’s literally almost no regulations for homeschooling. Most recent fbi data shows that 77% of child torture victims were not enrolled in school/homeschooled. Also only 3 states prevent people who have been convicted of child abuse charges from homeschooling. No one checks up on these kids. 😫

That's frustrating. I have an advanced degree and consider myself open-minded, and I don't think I'm qualified to teach my kid. A kid needs to be exposed to different types of people and differeing viewpoints. There's no way I can teach my child and not pass on whatever societal blind spots I have.

To be fair I know there are some things that necessitates a child being homeschooled, but I firmly disagree with any notion that just ANY parent can replace a teacher or that just ANY person should be able to run a homeschool service. There needs to be strict standards and regulations IMO.
