We watched this a couple of weeks ago. So impressed. Horror seems to be where all the creative and interesting stuff is happening right now.

I love this guy--he sings for animals and their reactions to the music are always beautiful. Here he pays tribute to Dolly. The dancing pink parrots seem entirely appropriate. youtube.com/shorts/flsd7...

"How DARE "those" people not vote for the person promising to kill more of their relatives!" SHE got Trump elected because SHE refused to abandon a massively unpopular policy. Even if they had voted for her SHE STILL WOULD HAVE LOST. Shove your scapegoating bullshit.

Both Christina and Drew were child actors. Drew had already gone through addiction by that age. I believe by the age of 15 she was an emancipated minor. Not surprising she looks older than her age there.

One of the best movie adaptations because he kept Levin's device of keeping everything in Rosemary's point of view. We only see and know what she sees and knows. Makes it all the more terrifying.

I showed my niece and nephew old movies from the time they were little. They loved them. They went to see Chicken Run in the movie theater and came home all excited at how they got the references to The Great Escape!

That new series that hasn't shown in the US yet, The Other Bennet Sister, is actually getting praise for having a cast who look like real people. All I've seen is clips and I already have a mad crush on the male lead, who is not conventionally handsome, but has the most gorgeous smile.

One of the few biopics I like is Coal Miner's Daughter. I think it was helped tremendously by the hyper-realistic film style that had almost entirely faded out by the time it was released in 1980. So many scenes feel so organic. And, of course, Sissy Spacek's strong performance.

I got a lot of hate once for saying it was my favorite adaptation of the book. I don't care. Elizabeth Garvie was the best Lizzie. Pretty, but not as pretty as the actress who played Jane, and she landed every barb perfectly.

My first thought when I heard this was, "He can't be dead. He's too young." I know that sounds silly, but even in his 80s, there was something about him that seemed almost ageless. RIP, Sundance.

You all not only didn't care about Palestinians being genocided, you told us they HAD to be sacrificed. Remember the trolley problem? Get the fuck out of here with trying to rewrite history. We saw you, we heard you, and we will NEVER let you forget it.
020
Debbie Vee @debbievee.bsky.social · 19/05/2025
You fucks were absolutely fine with Palestinians being genocided under Biden, don't you DARE pretend you care now. It made no difference to Israel who won. The only difference now if Harris had won would be insincere hand-wringing while still funding and weaponizing the ongoing genocide.
110
Debbie Vee @debbievee.bsky.social · 07/05/2025
First of all, that's crap. Biden assisted gleefully. Even if it wasn't crap, the outcome is exactly the same. It only makes idiots like you feel better if a happy face gets painted over your fascism.
030
Debbie Vee @debbievee.bsky.social · 07/05/2025
That's bullshit. Biden is a rabid Zionist and so are many of the ghouls who were in his administration. Israel doesn't exist without our support. All he had to do was make a phone call. And don't say that's not true, because it happened TWICE under Republican presidents.

Debbie Vee @debbievee.bsky.social · 06/05/2025
Democrats were in favor of deporting protesters, and a lot of you shouted with glee when it happened. Seriously, man, STFU. You're not going to rewrite history. YOU are the genocidal fuck.
030
Debbie Vee @debbievee.bsky.social · 06/05/2025
Harris had every intention of continuing to fund and weaponize the genocide. She blatantly ran on it. You voted for her. You voted for genocide. You depraved freaks even argued we HAD to sacrifice Palestinians. So get the fuck out of here with your bullshit.

Drink #3. We had a little bit of an issue with this one. 😁 This is a Chandrilan Squig Shot. Orange flavored vodka "squigs" in sparkling wine topped with mango nectar. Unfortunately, the squigs (made with gelatin) did not quite set. Still delish! Sagrona Teema!
