I’m 54 and got it today. I’m in Iowa. I also got the shingles (one of two), hep b, and flu vaccines. My arms are sore—especially the shingles/flu shot arm.

Nice to see him smile and wearing something other than a suit or his ceremonial robes from The Hague.

A scientist working at a lab who got exposed via a broken test tube. From what I’ve read such scientists are at high risk and thus are vaccinated for plague. Once exposed, it is effectively treated by antibiotics. Instead, she’s dead and 200 people were exposed. What is about this plague pathogen?

It’s so hard watching our beloved pets age and go through an illness. I’m sorry. This little guy is the last of our four pups. He’s 12. He had a follow up at the vet today and needed vaccines. We lost our longest companion (she was almost 17) in Jan 2025, and we all still miss her so much.

I don’t usually watch award shows, but I just tuned into the Emmys. Okay, Mariska! My family ate leftovers, so now I’m eating GLP-1 girl dinner: Triscuits, cheese, and an apple. I prepped 2 lbs each of celery and carrots for upcoming soup meals. I’ve also got homemade chicken stock simmering.

It’s that one time (maybe twice) a year when this Native mama makes fry bread for NDN tacos. It’s my oldest’s favorite birthday meal. That, and some form of pie. This year it’s chocolate cream. Happy Birthday to her! 🫶🏽🥳

I’ve never had another destructo dog like she was. I got her from a box on the Homer Spit in Alaska. Definitely good and naughty. 🤣
