I really cannot think of a greater honor than to have the Muppets say this about you upon your passing
Instagram post from the official Muppets account: Few humans have earned the title of honorary Muppet more than the legendary Tim Curry. As a performer he was unparalleled - witty, charming, unnerving, and deeply funny. We will always consider it one of our greatest treasures to have been part of Long John Silver’s crew. Thank you for everything, Tim.

Fortunately, elections in the United States are administered largely by its 3,000 counties, as well as by the 50 states. This commission has no actual enforcement power. This one of the few levers available to Trump. His intention is clear - but this is an expression of weakness, not power.

Truly, what a selfish POS. Also, his bowing out video was beyond enraging as he expressed anger at everyone else without taking a modicum of responsibility for his own shitty behavior. Kick rocks -- and also, let's get MUCH BETTER and more thorough teams to do vetting.

Goldberg: Part of the problem is the casting-call approach to candidate recruitment; they started by looking at a lobsterman who’d donated to Bernie Sanders, then moved on to oyster farmers.

But the bigger problem — besides the truly egregious absence of vetting — was not taking the time to do candidate development. Compare Moraff’s approach with that of Amanda Litman, head of Run for Something. She’s also supporting unconventional figures to run for office, some of them white men! (James Talarico was a Run for Something alum.) But Run for Something isn’t throwing neophytes into high-profile national races. They’re helping people run for local and state office, and those who shine there can move on to bigger things. That process is a lot more laborious and time consuming, but far more effective in building a Democratic bench.

Red line graph time series of monthly carbon dioxide abundance from January 1959 through May 2026. There is a seasonal cycle and long-term increasing trend. Current levels of CO2 are at 433 ppm. This is the Keeling Curve graph. A line for CO2 10 years ago is also annotated.
