I find myself saying this all too often - at least we’ll always have his music. ✊

DCboy @dcboy.bsky.social · 03/08/2025

I too was just graduating. I think we’re super close in age, if I remember correctly. I barely go to show now, but you’ve been making up for that, no? You’ve probs of seen more shows in the last 10 years than I’ve seen in 20. lol Brilliant, troubled, and dead. How’s that for morbid? (sry, had to)

DCboy @dcboy.bsky.social · 02/08/2025

I think it’s fair to say that Ian Curtis was a troubled dude. It really was a great era. In 1986 (7?) I saw Iron Maiden, Siouxsie, and the Dead - weeks apart. There was so much good music! I know you listen to a pretty wide array of music as well - as does David. Music, man. It saves lives. 🔥

DCboy @dcboy.bsky.social · 02/08/2025

Another great #OutOfOrder countdown! The year is 1983. If you’re uninitiated, you may want to peruse some *epic* tunes. 🔥

DCboy @dcboy.bsky.social · 02/08/2025

😲 I’m not sure I believe that either. Wow. Should be interesting reading. *Also hard to believe he’s 82! Shocking, actually. In my mind he’s just a kid. lol

Sting begs to disagree. He’s claimed that Synchronicity is inspired by Jung and Ghost in The Machine is inspired by Arthur Koestler. lol I grew up with the Police, so I’m a permanent victim. Sting though… he irks me.

Wild. In only a few years after that, AOL, Netscape, and the internet would change everything. That’s another reason I love your countdowns. They’re one of the few times I’m able to pause and reflect. The music you select really helps define and round out the different eras. 🙌
