Kingfisher are just so photogenic! I watched this one at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre, Gloucestershire (UK). It caught three small fish and returned to the same perch each time, before deciding that it had had its fill for a while. (24.09.26) #glosbirds #ukwildlife #birds @wwtsightings.bsky.social

Small Copper butterfly in the garden yesterday. Snatched a photo as it moved to the lawn and saw it laying eggs. I found a single egg & others nearby. The eggs are minute, 0.6mm (w) x 0.3mm (h). Alas, a red velvet mite also discovered the egg! (Bristol - 31.08.26) #ukbutterflies #ukwildlife #invert
