⋆˙⟡ A monster that always was, now unveiled. Sad, scared, and starving. All she wants is to feel seen and loved, but in this cursed form all her wants manifest as an insatiable hunger. No one she loves is safe. #monster #sona #fursona #refsheet #oc #bodyhorror #teeth

Reference sheet for a huge raptoid monster with pale yellow scales and a filthy brown mane. She has an antlered head, a crocodilian snout with amorphous teeth, a long tongue and small white eyes. The end of her tail ends in a secondary maw with a fat slobbery tongue and broad pointed teeth.

⋆˙⟡ A contribution to an art gifting thread I've been hosting on Toyhouse. #dragon #mech #scifi #anthro #furry

Digital knees-up portrait of an anthro dragon mech in front of a chaotic red background. They lurch forward, mouth open in a furious, or perhaps agonized, scream. They wield a staff that glows with an intense blue light.

Above can be seen a digital drawing of a jolleraptor character drawn as a mug. The tail is the handle of the mug and has a bite marks and a pieces missing out of it showing the bone. The main body of the mug has a large lidded red eye and a drooling beak like mouth.

Above can be seen a digital drawing of a mudkip pokemon original character as a tea cup. The long tail is the handle of the cup. Meanwhile the front of the cup has the face, cheek frills and the cup also has little legs :)

Above can be seen a digital sketch of a psyduck (pokemon) original character as a coffee mug
The body is green and the tail and flower stem make up the handle
there are two eyes on the front and a duck bill and duck feet poke out the front and from below the mug.

NEW ADVICE-FROM-LIEBER LIST! I've posted these tips as a thread before, but I figured it's about time I made it available as a single, shareable image.

MISTAKES I'VE MADE THAT YOU CAN AVOID
Don't be like me.
1. Don't trash your own work when complemented. In that context your self-deprecation is insulting someone else's taste! Just say thanks and change the subject. Maybe credit an influence?
2. As far as your readers are concerned, comics are drawn with a printing press or a monitor. Don't fetishize the original art or the tools you make it. Anything that gets the story told the way it needs to be told is the right tool for the job.
3. Don't use one job to audition for another. It's unfair to your collaborators and a betrayal of the reader to get flashy or sexy or explosive if the moment in the story doesn't call for it.
4. The important storytelling choices on a page can be worked out in thumbnails. Gesture, camera angle, framing, broad arrangement of tones-get this stuff right before you worry about anatomy, lighting, drapery, or facial expressions.
5. Some artists can put down a final inkline with no underdrawing, but that's because they're skilled and experienced enough to do all that underdrawing in their head. You probably aren't. Get your underdrawing right and save the masterstrokes for the masters.
6. What you're feeling while you work doesn't matter. What the audience feels when they read it does. You can be happy and still do a great drawing of someone in agony. You should understand what you're depicting. It's not necessary to experience it in real time at the board.
7. Get a fresh eye on your work. You never know when some accidental juxtaposition is going to completely change your intended meaning.
8. Don't let getting things 100% right keep you from getting things done. It's easy to get bogged down in research or prep sketches. Make a schedule at the start of a project so you know how much time you have. Do the best you can with the time allotted and move on. But...

I agree! I think building up a tolerance for being annoyed and being able to deal with it calmly is important too, because it is a thing that you are going to feel sometimes :> Address it if you have to, and then move on.

Dazzle @dazzlingdragon.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Okay so does it actually matter if you’re annoying sometimes? Like how many of YOUR friends and loved ones have ALSO annoyed you? I dunno, don’t annoy people on purpose but maybe it’s not a big deal if you do it on accident once in awhile ✨👍

it’s come to my attention that my tumblr post has been crossposted to bluesky, so I’m posting it on my account here #AntiAI #GenAI

recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best.

It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.

Scen's dad left a rock to rule in his place and its technically legal

Scenwulf, a tall blonde werewolfesque prince in what my friend called 'his little gay robe' talking to Tam. In the first scribble he's showing him a large oblong rock. Next to it I wrote 'probably pointing out how phallic the rock is'.
Scen says, "I would like you to add finding my father to your little to-do list."

Scen waves his hand and turns. "You were here this morning. You saw." He stands beside the stone and gestures to it. "I'm sure we can agree a ROCK cannot rule in a king's place. He must return."
Tam says "The rules say the rock is as good as the king being here. They don't say it needs to be practical."

Scen looks annoyed. He folds his hands. "Fair enough. Since you'll be here for the week, Cousin, I'll have opportunities to demonstrate that my sire, this rock, can't fulfill his duties." He walks away. "And we can begin the process of dragging his ass back."
